Matthias Koefferlein aba1f87b0d Enhancement to layer binding for images: now saving as img::ObjectV2 if layer binding is present. This does not break old KLayout versions trying to read session files. But old KLayout version will still crash when trying to save such a session. 2025-09-07 22:51:31 +02:00

Matthias Koefferlein aa12448747 First attempt to implement a solution for issue #2016 
The implementation will not update the PCell on
property sheet edits of the guiding shape
if lazy evaluation is requested. Still, changes
are committed to the PCell on committing the
property page.

Matthias Koefferlein 46bb28d4e4 Avoid throwing exceptions inside XML parser 
This addresses an issue found in ARM builds on Mac M1.
The XML parser makes use of exceptions to stop the parsing.
This causes an ABORT on M1/clang for whatever reason.
The new implementation requests the reader to stop
and stores the exception until it is needed.

Matthias Koefferlein 3c53950eaa Rework needed for LayoutView management 
The application got unstable on exit under various conditions
(e.g. LayoutView created in script). Reason was the ownership
management of LayoutView which interfered with Qt widget
lifetime management.

The solution now is based on a clean widget/view hierarchy
and a consistent plugin parent/child relationship.

In addition, a new class is enabled which allows creating
a true QWidget (rather QFrame) for a LayoutView again.
